Today was a good day.
Pretty pooped because I went to bed so late last night. But I managed to get through the day. This afternoon I had a blood draw and then I had my echocardiogram. That was fun. I got Tom. He was great. He gave me a great anatomy lesson showing me all the chambers of my heart, how the heart rests in between beats, etc. It was cool. My heart looks good!
I also stopped by the wig shop to see the wig that I liked. I wanted to see what colors it came in. I think I may have found it. I just need to firm up the color and once I do that, the wig is mine! They also told me that they can take in the wig if I feel it's too big. That's good because I want it to fit nicely on my beautiful bald head.
While I was there looking at wigs I missed a very important call. It was my oncologist calling. Apparently they had some questions regarding starting chemo treatments. I am soooo happy and excited for this to start. I want to get on my way with treatment. I'll have a countdown going. :)
On my way home, the physical therapist called me. She left a message. Then she called back and I spoke with her. She said she left a message and then looked at my file and saw that I had breast cancer. She wanted to apologize and wish me luck. She was shocked. Kind of funny. I told her that's why I didn't return!
Now it's late... well not really, but I am tired and I want to get some shut eye. Tomorrow it's a trip to the ob/gyn.
Let us tell you that several conditions can cause growth or lumps in the breast. So your breast cancer specialist in India will ask you to get the biopsy done, before starting the treatment. Hold on before concluding yourself that the lump seen is cancer only, it is not necessary. This is why a breast biopsy is done to get an accurate result.
